The BPA processes your personal data which includes your name, address, contact details and Boots payroll details for the purposes of:

  1. Communication and providing you with the services related to your membership of the association and sharing with the providers of those services and benefits which are specific to your membership, at the minimum level required and only when necessary.
  2. Providing you with support in performance appeals and disciplinary and grievance procedures.

We hold your information for as long as your membership continues. Special category data is held until the procedures it applies to are completed and all appeal periods or tribunal windows have expired. Your personal details are never shared with third parties without your consent. You have a right to a copy of the information we hold about you and you may seek to correct any inaccurate information.

We process your personal data in line with the following lawful reasons as defined by the General Data Protection Regulations

Article 6 (b) Contract. Your membership of the BPA is contract between you as an individual and the Association.

Article 6 (f) Legitimate Interests. This applies to special category data related to disciplinary and grievance procedures and introduction of new potential benefits and services related to your membership.

Article 6 (a) Consent. Again, this will apply to situations where we may need to share members details with other members of the BPA to facilitate representation in disciplinary and grievance procedures. This will only be done with the consent of the member concerned.
The BPA is responsible for confidentiality and safe keeping of the personal data we hold. You may object to us holding your information and you may also lodge a complaint should you wish to do so with the information Commissioners Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.
