Following continued progress against the 5 tests set by the government in England to relax elements of the lockdown the government has given the green light to non essential retailers to open from Monday the 15th June as long as they are meeting requirements to protect customers and staff by ensuring social distancing measures are in place. This should give a welcome boost to the high street and the economy in general. Lock down measures in the devolved countries remain under separate review. It was encouraging to  see the decline in the rolling 7 day average of Covid-19 related deaths to 200 today. This is the lowest this figure has been since the 30th of March.
